Saving high-valued oak trees from the ravages of oak wilt disease in Niagara County and Erie County, New York

We don’t cut trees down — we try to save them!  Very simply, we provide Oak wilt tree vaccinations (in the business we call it “injections”) to prevent the spread of fungal diseases.  Our focus is on saving oak trees from the fatal oak wilt disease that has already killed millions of oak tress in the MidWest and South.  The threat is looming here in Western New York.  Oak trees have already been infected and killed in Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, just across the river in Canada.  Our oak trees are in the crosshairs and we stand ready to save as many oak trees as possible.  If you have high-valued oak trees you want to protect, call or text us at 716-273-5522, to discuss your options.

Here is the quick summary of the tree diseases we strive to prevent and treat:

Oak Wilt

A lethal fungal disease affecting oak trees, with red oaks being most vulnerable. Spreads through root grafts and beetles. Symptoms include leaf discoloration, wilting from crown downward, and leaf drop. Trees often die within weeks of infection. Prevention requires avoiding pruning during spring and summer, treating broken branches and wounds immediately with latex paint or tree sealer, and getting Oak wilt tree vaccinations with fungicide before they are infected.  Oak trees should be vaccinated every two years until the threat has passed.

Oak Wilt

Dutch Elm Disease

Devastating fungal disease that has killed millions of elms worldwide. Spread by bark beetles and root grafts. Symptoms begin with yellowing and wilting leaves on single branches, spreading throughout the crown. Trees typically die within 1-3 years of infection.

Crabapple Scab

Common fungal disease causing olive-green to black spots on leaves and fruit. Leads to leaf yellowing, premature drop, and deformed fruit. While rarely fatal, it significantly weakens trees and reduces aesthetic value. Most severe in wet springs.

Crab Apple Scab

Hawthorn Leaf Spot

Fungal disease causing purple-red spots on leaves that enlarge and turn brown with purple margins. Results in premature defoliation. Multiple years of infection can weaken trees. Most severe in wet conditions.

Anthracnose

Group of fungal diseases affecting many tree species. Causes dark, sunken lesions on leaves, twigs, and fruit. Symptoms vary by host but typically include leaf spots, blotches, and premature leaf drop. Most severe in cool, wet spring weather.
